Brazil’s largest city has opportunities as well as risks for scientists

Less of a city and more of a sprawling metropolis, São Paulo and the surrounding area is home to more than 21 million people. Located on the coast in the south of Brazil, the city is the most populous Portuguese-speaking city in the world and has the largest GDP in the Southern Hemisphere.
