I am a career Polymer Scientist and not a Physicist by education or profession. However, I have read in Wikipedia that the Earth's Magnetic field (due to its inner Iron Core) and the polarity does spins as such that the positions of magnetic north and magnetic south are interchanged over a period of time (may be over a long time). So as a novice and curious scientist, I wonder, could it be also possible to relates it to the atomic spins theory/hypothesis as a whole not discussed by the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle? I would like to know. I would appreciate receiving comments or correlation between the atomic spins theory/hypothesis and Earth's Magnetic field Spin if exist. Thanking you in advance.
