Why not test every element in the table of elements against each other, then one of each against two, then three, etc. Tests are designed using oxygen molecules, then CO2, etc. through the huge list of discovered chemical compounds. Much of this can be done with supercomputers. Pharma researcher are already familiar with this process, using thousands of biomaterials collected from around the world, as yet only 3% researched. Enhanced explosives would be easiest, followed by composite nanomaterials, which are the subject of hundreds of research projects already because of their potential.
