It is interesting that the Learn Chemistry recipe link you have provided mentioned in the hazards that children should not be allowed to take slime home, perhaps this is in conflict with encouraging people to try this at home? Dare I say that Borax could be a feminist issue.... Borax powder = a tad scary regardless of our historic enthusiasm for using it in laundry and as a dandruff cure, especially if you're a female of childbearing age. Borax solution = OK (let's make the men make those solutions up or perhaps buy it ready made?) As a teacher in schools and HE I have been avoiding making slime for a number of years, I know CLEAPSS are doing excellent work in developing alternative methods.
