I spent my MChem and PhD years at Durham University. As a physical chemist, it was fantastic getting to grips with solid-state NMR spectroscopy, crystallography, and computational chemistry. I still can’t believe I was allowed to mess around with such expensive kit! While writing my thesis, I developed a rather unexpected love of writing so joining the Royal Society of Chemistry as a Development Editor in 2017 was an obvious move.

I now get to spend my time reading and promoting the very latest research in nanoscience and nanotechnology as part of the nano journal team. Writing for Chemistry World whenever I can, I love hearing the back-story to articles. Projects never go as smoothly as published papers would have you believe!
