Checker can flag articles for investigation

The academic publisher, Springer Nature, is donating its artificial intelligence (AI) tool that can detect AI-generated text in research manuscripts to the International Association of Scientific, Technical & Medical Publisher (STM).

The tool, which was launched for use by Springer Nature a year ago, will be integrated into the STM Integrity Hub, a major initiative providing a cloud-based environment for publishers to check submitted articles for research integrity issues, as well as access to third-party tools.
